The Marquis of Wellington - a great pub experience

If you’re looking for a friendly pub with excellent service and food, look no further - head to The Marquis of Wellington.

Located in the heart of Bermondsey Beer Mile, the pub is only a 7 minute walk from Bermondsey tube station and a 15 walk from London Bridge.

The pub is back after a two year hiatus but that doesn’t seem to have made a difference - the night LondonCityGirl went down, it was abuzz with activity and chatter.

The Marquis of Wellington takes pride in their liquor, serving craft beers and local gins. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable so don’t be afraid to ask questions about your tipple.

Their food  menu is small but perfectly formed, offering a range of tasty garlic breads, deliciously cooked pizzas, with intriguing combinations (the sirloin steak pizza to the salami pizza to name but two) and a couple of decadent desserts.

But if you’re not in the mood for pizza The Marquis of Wellington has thought of everything, partnering with a number of food traders who pop by to serve the very best of British street food.

We at LondonCityGirl are lucky in enough to be able to review some of the best pubs around London and we have to say that The Marquis of Wellington is up there with the best of them and we can’t wait to go back!
