Royal Lancaster London serves Afternoon Tea

There’s nothing quite as quintessentially British as Afternoon Tea and one of the best in the capital can be found at the Royal Lancaster London with the introduction of the new the Bloomin’ Brilliant Afternoon Tea.

The flora-inspired afternoon tea features a selection of sweet delicacies from strawberry and lime curd tarts, valhrona chocolate flower pots, lemon and elderflower sable domes and orange blossom and ginger macarons.

For those of you who like savoury there are home-smoked salmon roses, egg and wild baby cress sandwiches, choux buns filled with zesty Coronation chicken, a bouquet of asparagus tomatoes and amaranth as well as warm tartlets of Somerset brie, Royal Lancaster honey and red onion chutney.

No afternoon tea is complete without scones and once again Royal Lancaster London comes up trumps, serving warm traditional and raisin scones served with cornish clotted cream, homemade strawberry jam and orange marmalade.

Accompanying the meal is a wide variety of fragrant teas to choose from and our personal favourite is the Persian Pomegranate. If you want to be especially indulgent you can also opt for a glass of champagne or Rosé.

The afternoon tea is served in the hotel’s Hyde Lobby Bar and the atmosphere is all luxe and elegance. The service is excellent; attentive and efficient. The tea will be served from 2pm to 5.30pm from from 2 May until June 2018.

The Bloomin’ Tea is priced at £35 per person; £45 with a glass of Moët & Chandon Brut Champagne; and £55 with a glass of Moët & Chandon Impérial Rosé Champagne.
