Experience CORD's 9 course tasting menu

Life’s busy here at LondonCityGirl and we get a lot of emails comes across our desk but once in a while we get invited to something truly special that makes us sit up and take notice, and that’s exactly what happened when we were asked to sample CORD Restaurant by Le Cordon Bleu’s new 9 course tasting menu.

Yes, you read that right - 9 course tasting menu at the renowned fine dining restaurant.

Tucked away in the heart of the city, a stone’s throw from St Paul’s Cathedral is CORD. It’s chic and elegant and as soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by understated luxury.

On the night we visited, my partner and I ordered both the signature and plant based tasting menus and it was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve had to date.

Every single dish was delicious and we could be here all day extolling the virtues of every course so let’s dive into some of the highlights from both menus.

From the signature menu, there were quite a few standouts but the soft monkfish marinated in date molasses was a sensation. Monkfish is a favourite of mine and this was truly the best monkfish dish I’ve ever enjoyed.



This course was followed up by the spectacular pink peppercorn quail with celeriac. Tender, juicy and delicious.

The plant based menu treated every course with the same attention to detail as the signature menu which was lovely to see.



Our favourites included the asparagus dish with a morel mushroom and the caramelised celeriac and chanterelle mushroom dish. 

The desserts which were a banoffee souffle tart (signature menu) and a chocolate delice with spiced hazelnuts (plant based menu) really hit the spot. The hit of sweetness from both, after all different flavours that had come before it was exactly what was needed to round off the menu.



The staff were very attentive and our sommelier was extremely knowledgeable, talking us through the wine pairings which enhanced the enjoyment of the meal.

This is truly an experience and we would not hesitate to recommend booking your visit to CORD to try these exceptional menus for yourselves.

The signature tasting menu is £108 per person and the plant based tasting menu is £82. Both are available for dinner from 6pm to 8.45pm and the wine pairing is an additional £80.
